Executive teams, and teams in general, formulate plans and activities for their staff to embody management more efficiently for maximum output from all resources. There are many ways to go about this but, many sources suggest that the best way to go about said activities is for them to be centered on team building.

So the real question here is why are team building skills and exercise the key to empowering leadership? Well, when a group of people are working together towards a common goal, they have to be able to step away from the ideal of working their hardest to better outshine the others, and focus more upon a team is always going to be stronger than an individual.

The only way to go about accomplishing this is to train trust and leadership among the group, or in this case, the staff of the company, so that maximum output and efficiency can be achieved, ultimately leading the company to reach higher goals and better returns; because it is the unfortunate rule of thumb in business that the company wants to get the most out of people in order to make the most profit.

So, leadership retreats, group outings, a weekend b-b-q, all would be sufficient to empower leadership. This is because people will be more inclined to look after more than just them when they actually have established a relationship with those with whom they are working.
