Managing human resources refers to the organizational function that handles issues related to people like compensation, performance management, hiring, safety, development of organization, motivation of employees, administration, benefits, wellness, communication, training, setting example in work ethics, removing the barriers that could obstruct the progress of employees, maintenance of the management system performance and leading organization efforts to serve as well as attend to customers (Gorwins, 1999).

Nevertheless, one of the ethics necessary for the management of human resources is the development of a good welfare system for the employees. The employee’s needs should be considered and dealt with immediately in a consistent manner. If for example an employee seems to have health problem, he or she should be given a special attention by either being provided with the necessary medication or being given some time of leave so the he or she may be able to receive medical attention.

Managing human resources calls for the formation of a special committee so that it can deal with the issues that directly relates to the welfare of the employees. This kind of committee will be in charge of providing counseling services, offering assistance to the employees during times that call for emergency measures as well as providing short loans for the employees wishing to use the money immediately. In the course of such committees, we find that the economic, social and cultural issues in the employees are met and thus, the work in the organization becomes so easy because the employees are given their rights.
Reward is a very important issue in the management of human resources. Employees who perform well in the organization should be noted and compensated by receiving a higher package of the salary. This trend is very essential in every organization that has adopted a good human resource management. Almost every year, however, the department of human resource should carry out an evaluation of the employees’ performance in every department so that the employees found to have made chief or major involvement to the organization are rewarded and those who appear to have been rewarded more that once get promotion to a higher position and therefore change their status. All these are mainly for the benefit of the organization to meet its goal and mission.

Moreover, managing human resources necessitates the embracement of teamwork by the organization. For the management of human resources, it is important to put in place several strategies that will require the entire organization employees to work as a team. It is also necessary for the human resource development to have a long term plan that through team work, it can be able to manage its resources easily since every employee will work towards the desired goal.

According to Fulled (2002), teamwork should receive a treatment full of importance since the success of every organization of company is based on the employees’ arrangement in a form of teamwork comprising of the right member. Teamwork ensures the placement of every member in his or her appropriate position so as to be able to meet the obligations and demands of the organization. Without this kind of teamwork, some of the goals of the organization which are gained through working together cannot be met.

In conclusion, managing of human resources in a company implies that there are several matters that need to be put into thought. The managers who are responsible therefore for managing of the human resources need to be very cautious so as to be able to provide for the right needs for the staff in the organization. Indeed it calls for the manager to understand all the likes and dislikes of every worker in the company and try to address them. All employees need to be treated equally and with a lot of respect and the basic principles of remuneration, promotion, using the right method of employing and providing for the basic rights needs to be followed by the manager so as to have the best human resources in place in the Company.
