Over the last three months, the amount of work that Ruth and Jack have produced for the executive staff has created an uneven balance. Ruth has been taking very short breaks and has been requesting overtime that costs this company an additional $200 a month. The second team of Ralph Alane and Jessica Hilo include Ralph as a full-time employee, but Jessica is not currently working for the company. Also, this team has a full-time administrative assistant on staff. Therefore, most of the human resources allocation for the secretarial staff needs to be spent on the Daleys. Ruth and Jack should be assigned to one of the Daleys to provide more support. Because Frank has already complained about Ruth, it would be best if Jack supports Frank and Ruth supports Samuel to avoid any potential conflicts.
The secretarial staff must still be able to adequately support Ralph and Jessica. This team has a full-time administrative assistant on staff, but the secretarial team cannot place all of the work on this individual. Therefore, Jack and Ruth will split two half-day assignments to remain accessible to Ralph while Jessica is out on leave. Jack will work for Ralph in the morning on Mondays and afternoon on Wednesdays. Ruth will work with Ralph in the afternoons on Tuesdays and the mornings on Thursdays. This provides for Friday to become a catch-up day for the secretarial staff and to provide support to any executive team that needs it the most.
