Leadership is one of the most essential skills that a person can have or get, due to the fact that this skill can really help in personal and business life.  However, there are many definitions of leadership, so how one should determine a good leader? The answer is simple: there are certain characteristics that define an exquisite leader, like my uncle, for instance, and I will prove you why.

He is flexible and adaptable.  Being an effective leader, he adapts to new environments and situations, doing his best to adjust.  Moreover, he is an extremely good communicator.  As a leader, he listens a lot and is always willing to work to comprehend the needs and wishes of others. A good leader asks many questions, counts all possible options, and goes in the right direction, and that is exactly the way my uncle acts.  One more of his virtues is being respectful.  He respects everyone’s way of thinking and that is why he himself gains respect of others.  Another trait that makes my uncle a great leader is his enthusiasm.  Being enthusiastic is very contagious and passes from one person to another, thus making people listen to him and follow his instructions and commands not only because he is their boss, but due to the fact that he is a nice and cheerful person.

All these characteristics make my uncle a true leader and I believe I proved it.
